Saturday 28 August 2010, SENT BY NEIL 19:40

This photo of a happy birthday girl with her birthday gift in the form of a car pure deception.

on the fly four links that I have not posted here.

First: On 26 September I will be one of four authors (Karen Hesse, Grace Lin and Jerry Spinelli, the other three and wonderful company) in the Boston Public Library honored. It is a charity event (proceeds go the benefit of services and special programs for children and young people ") for which you need a ticket. Then there is however a type of publicly available autographs.

(Do not forget - "The people should be encouraged children to participate because of their circumstances, to permit the purchase or donation of extra tickets to attend the award ceremony and celebration." )

Secondly, in early October, there will be a festival in New York. The New York Times Blog to

remain the secret words of the day alter ego: Paul Reubens, artist, Pee-wee Herman as is known, is not a rare character of phenomena in the form of a public interview as part of the New York festival offer in October, the organizers on Tuesday. Other artists and authors will be there, in conversation with contributors to the magazine, for example, "Office" star Steve Carell, the actress Patricia Clarkson, musician James Taylor, the fantasy writer Neil Gaiman and the filmmaker Werner Herzog.

During the festival, from 1 to 3 Of October, there will be panel discussions given as "Saturday Night Live," with Seth Meyers and others from the cast, moderated by the editor of the New Yorker, David Remnick, vampires in popular taste, with Stephen King and "Twilight" Screen Melissa Rosenberg, moderated by Joan Acocella ...

I will from Dana Goodyear interviewed, also the profile I had done something earlier this year in New York . Cards (from 10 September) and schedule can be found at

And third ...

end of October, the House-on-the-Rock-American Gods-Event "A Low Key Gathering". (Details and information http://thehouseontherockjournal.blogspot.com/ ).

There will be a benefit, organized by The Thingies (these faithful individuals who accompany us since the first days of alt.fan.neilgaiman), and I have donated a handful of things for their auctions, things I've found in the attic. The auction will appeal to long time fans that things will not go away will be forwarded to CBLDF. Mistress Mousey has donated cool stuff (including a limited edition runs of Sandman 8s) and Kitty from Neverwhere .

top There are boxes in the attic. I went up and found things that I have once or twice before already donated, and one thing that has always been up there - the limited edition of prints that I make every year for friends (actually, they are always up to Christmas be out, but sometimes they are sent out in February): The Dangerous Alphabet and Instructions came into life. My poem A Writer's Prayer was also published as a limited print, I have donated one of each.

my story "Nicholas Was ..." was the first time as a Christmas card, calligraphy by Dave McKean (copy rights belong to me) was issued. I have most been sent out, but there was not some clever. About twelve years ago I was offered $ 1,000 as a donation to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund for the originals, and I stated that I would try to find one, but did not make it and I now all about the person the offer was, of course, lost. (If the person reading this should be here, please sign up on the FAQ.) But we have cleaned up a bit last year and things rearranged and a Handful of the original Christmas card appeared.

So I have a signed and donated for the auction .

The auction can be found here .

...

And finally, the CBLDF has an even number of remaining one of me and Tony Harris signed Edition, by Relig Oran for Chicago-Comic-Con/das CBLDF event was printed at eBay to Buy-It-Now price set purely . For some reason it is not in CBLDF store, I thought, let me know prospects who might want to buy it on eBay.

Well, then.

Wording For Sock Hop Party

You're 16, beautiful and have been very nice to be your own head

Saturday 28 August 2010, SENT BY NEIL TO 0:39

has today my daughter Maddy's birthday. She was seven when I started this blog. Now it is 16th We were now today morning on the way (actually yesterday morning) and wanted a car for her - she has the last Months spent on the internet, looking for cars that were within the price range that I claimed her, and within it you are not embarrassed to be seen actually driving the car. And she found one and we did a trial run and now she is a girl with a car and I feel something more, because my youngest child car drives now.

I wish they would put some time in guest-blogging, but she said that she is too aware that she meets strangers who tell her how much she like it when they blog, and that they will not disappoint you now. It is the funniest person I know has the sweetest nature and a sunny smile, I love to spend time with her, no matter whether we travel together around the world and experience adventure or watch the big bang theory.

HAPPY SIXTEENTH BIRTHDAY, Maddy Gaiman

.................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ....................

I fly on Sunday in the UK for the Doctor Who script-reading Tuesday. This morning I got the "We can not afford" revised draft of my script to Doctor Who by producers. I'll have to change again. And then we are almost there. I think. I hope. I pray.

(I met a few people who wondered if the episode of Babylon 5 was much easier to write: I think there were two drafts, but they were given sets. . and there was almost no special effects My episode of Doctor Who is a unique way to great, both internally and externally: I asked for the impossible and they have even knocked out by it allowed me and if they could not, they managed at least, allow me to somehow improbable.

Neil,

I prepare myself just in front of it, about twelve extremely reluctant junior high boys the CD to Graveyard Book audition as they read along the text in their books. I have not managed to find a syllabus for this book. Could you please take some time and write something about the background of the book and perhaps cemetery also has some extra ideas that you've left out? We look forward to finally can begin.

Thank you, Dianne, the librarian

I asked Elyse Marshall from Harper Children and she wrote:

Here is a link to our reading instruction:

There are great discussion topics and suggestions for further handling of the text - the perfect match for teachers. The guide was written by a middle school teacher who had exactly this target group in mind.

show the auf Mousecircus.com, http://mousecircus.com/videotour.aspx on. In addition to the movies with my readings are selected highlights of the questions-and-answer event of the tour, in which many questions are answered.

Dear Neil,

I wrote a piano sequence, which is based on several stories of Fragile Things . You can hear it here:

http://www.tide-pool.ca/fractal/composit ions / Thor_Kel l_-_Fragile _Things.mp3 .

My friend Jillian Hanks plays here. He is really fantastic. There are 15 (very) short movements:

I: These People Ought To Know Who We Are, And Tell That We Were Here

II: Mapmaker

III: Inventing Aladin

IV: A Study In Emerald

V: Closing Time

VI: Locks

VII: Instructions

VIII: Harlequin Valentine

IX: The Problem Of Susan

X: The Day The Saucers Came

XI: Pages From A Journal

XII: October In The Chair

XIII: Other People

XIV: How To Talk To Girls At Parties

XV: Sunbird

I hope you like it, and thanks for all the stories.

All the best,

Thor

That was wonderful! Thank you.

Dear Mr. Gaiman,

is certainly the mail now a repetition of many ordinary mail, they receive from your Journal readers, so I apologize now.

This is now very, I urge you to end your journal.

I understand that you just because you lately are so very successfully (by the way congratulations to!) Find no time for regular blogging or appealing immediacy of Twitter this Blogging replaced. So I think the Journal has found a natural end.

Think of Mr. Campbell's Blog - "frozen for all time," your words. I think your journal, which is one of the most impressive online blogging products in the relatively short history of the Internet deserves better than this along, stumbling, like a ball player who runs his best years behind, sometimes with momentum and the Ball hit, mostly miss these (in this analogy, a "miss" a day or was an event without a blog, and of these there lately more.)

Maybe you can archive it as a document of a period of time for all to read and to to enjoy it. Or perhaps the long announced and again on it directed publication of individual journal excerpts will ultimately reality. Either way, the Journal had his wedding. It has fulfilled its task. It is time that it is past.

(amazing how many "it is / is" I can contribute to?)

Please understand this as an attack. I am and will always be a fan, but I've grown fond of this journal over the years and the current state is a shame.

(There were times when I have it every day, called twice a day. Now once a week, if it comes up. I've even removed from my Mac Top Sites. Pant!)

you develop your site. Make Twitter to your main mouthpiece, and leave the Journal, are the stories and upcoming events, etc. as a reading experience Sun As a testimony of a part of your life and your career, frozen for the time, perfect for personal moment for all who want to enjoy it.

My best wishes and hopes for continued success,

Scott Dixon

I can not remember that I was previously asked to give up the journal. But no, I did not quit before, not at this time.

The blog has ended a kind of hobbling break up my work on Dr Who is. (As explained in http://journal.neilgaiman.com/2010/07/normal-service-will-be-resumed-as-soon.html .) And then he will be back in a slightly different form. But I will have something to do with a new book and blog much fun when you write. It is nice to warm up for my mind and my fingers.

Examples Of Alpha Kappa Alpha

Slowly it is eleven

FRIDAY 20 July 2010, SENT BY NEIL 21:47

it ten days to go until the big script-reading of Doctor Who . Yesterday I first spoke with the director. And the script is just the script (for an explanation: I'm about to send a script to the editor of the I hope that if it was not the last throw is that it will at least used in the reading). Technically, it's probably the tenth draft, but I've stopped counting. (The "brief ten pages' trip to Australia was really the last major engagement.) Steven Moffat has saved me as I thought that I could never touch the script again, and for that he is simply a hero.

It has not really changed much. It is only getting thicker and I hope everything is itself slowly, design to design, it is the eleventh.

Everything that has not brought forward the plot, was taken out. Many of the cute and entertaining background discussion in the TARDIS is gone. Lines of dialogue, the funny in itself, but were not really necessary? Way. And the food scene? Just really gone. Missing since the sixth draft. Me plead that the scene just is not there and you feel the same shall betray nothing about the actual story - except that now a scene with a bowl and food is more mentioned - I thought I borrow it from me Lucien's library back.

the doctor has just released something to eat. Something ... is ... possibly extraterrestrial.

Is it something you can eat the people? (The doctor)

If you do not scan it with your sonic screwdriver or something?

The doctor

Why Eating scan using a supersonic screwdriver?

to see if it's okay?

The doctor leans over it, tapping his finger in his bowl and costs.

some unusual trace elements, a bit too much background radiation, but yes, very tasty.

Amy just wants to try something from his food ... he holds it.

The doctor

not for you. It tastes like Marmite on socks.

How To Write A Dental Surgeon Covering Letter

autographs in Sydney Australia and the magical

THURSDAY, 5 August 2010, SENT BY NEIL 18:29

Everything is moving in the direction of performance at the Opera House in Sydney tomorrow night. There were about 100 seats (of 2000) when I've looked the last time, and if you want to be there tomorrow, you should quickly take care of a ticket.

Here you get it: 20http% 20to% http://www.blogger.com/Go: / / www.sydneyoperahouse.com / whatson / neil_gaiman.aspx

The opera house would offer a signing, but had the process not really thought out, when about 2,000 people will have signed their stuff, not even thought of to keep the staff of the opera during the autograph session, or just have room for In the event that employ thousands of people and can move forward only slowly, and when they realized then what it all involved were to decide it as reasonable that they will not offer Saturday evening book signing.

So I ended yesterday afternoon after the Triple J interview with The Doctor (you can see it here: http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/thedoctor/ ) in the Kinokuniya bookstore and signed 2000 books. All they had. EVERYTHING. Thus, each, although there will be no signing tomorrow have a signed book. It is likely that everyone in Sydney who want to have something signed by me, come here next week to Kinokuniya and choose something.

Here is a photo with about three-quarters of the signed books when I was finished (they had already driven away some).

Good. On to Australia.

If you are today on the way to Australia by plane and you hear someone cry from a place near you, it is me who is fighting for that very reason to get rid of ten pages of a very tight script. (I bet I can get rid of two or three pages loose. But then the pain starts.)

Here is a remarkable, edited with Photoshop cover of a Russian magazine. (You can next see the line, stop at my real hair and begins to enlarge.)

As for me Most surprising: My hair is already strange enough. Why do they make it even more strange?

(For hair detectives among you: Here are some pictures of me on the same day on which the photo for the Russian magazine were made http://satu-san.livejournal.com/49214.. html
