Let's see if this works now ...
When I the last time I reported, I was in Wales, for the great reading of Doctor Who . And then I was out of the world, picking out the plums.
I still am. I was exhausted when I came here - had exhausted realized from my own, think I do. Too many trips, too many things that never really stop completely, so much going on. I felt old and tired and was crunched.
did in the first week I made up sleep, eating sensibly and even cooked, ate really only vegetables and fruits and freshly caught fish (A courtesy of the neighbors who came up the hill to the window tapped and brought freshly caught mackerel and other fish. I gave them prunes.). I was walking a lot. Then I got a bike and had it every day on the road, beginning two miles a day, then 6:00 to 10:00 miles as I was used to it. I took pictures of things in which I passed during my bike trips, with my little Nexus-1-phone camera, then I joined them with a program called Hugin .
An exciting stone .
During the first ten-mile trip, I realized that I already knew what a great story I want to tell next. And that I already know the plot, or at least enough, but I can not say who told them, those who experienced it and how the story should be told. It is perhaps time leaps with different people telling different chapters, diary entries, etc. It is very encouraging to such notice a trend - is an idea and you just know that it's great and she has feet and has yet none of this history. And you know, if you bring everything into order before the actual process of writing, that the plot will then develop. Getting the various parts to the right place, the hardest part will be in it.
So it will take some time before I am ready to write. First I have to think about it much. But it will be the next big story, I think.
And somewhere in between I have to grind even removed eight pounds and be heard and to feel old and travel-weary and I have again started to smile and written a few things, waiting for the people have. I have not written so much more, what people are waiting too, but I feel so not bad: At some point it'll be all right.
Saturday will stop me, to live as a hermit, and return. At the end of the week I'll be back in Wales and attend the first episode of my production days Doctor Who and Doctor Who Confidential of be interviewed.
news from home:
1) Cabal had an operation, to decompress parts of his spine, because it went so bad. He is recovering grad yet. We hear about Skype. Or at least I talk to him and he tries to figure out where my voice comes. Lorraine has again performed miracles just to be there and everything up and running, as did also Woodsman Hans and I am grateful. Now we'll wait. Lorraine has been the latest developments in her blog http://blog.fabulouslorraine.com .
2) On 25 October I will be with PBS's Arthur . I play a writer with Neil Gaiman name.
I am a writer who is a cat. One can be both.

3) Maddy Gaiman has passed a driving test. All my children now drive a car. Ulp.
4) There is an eBay auction (also http://www.twitchange.com/ ), with the money for a Haitian orphanage to be collected. Are taking part in many, mention you / retweet / follow you on Twitter, in case you win the auction. I also promised to call the winner of the "Mega Pack" and his / her read a poem or short story. It seems to me a simple and sensible way to raise money for charity.
The full list of people who offer their services (with Stephen Fry and Nathan Fillion here and Rainn Wilson), can be found here http://bit.ly/twitchanges .
And can you offer to me or see where is the order: http://bit.ly/ebayneil .
5) Matthew Cheney chapter by chapter, week by week over the Sandman wrote. Here are the links with the first eight episodes - Preludes and Nocturnes:

6) You have my story "Bitter Ground " re-printed on the TOR site, originally by Nalo Hopkinson Mojo: Conjure Stories and later in Fragile Things : http://www.tor.com/stories/2010/09/bitter-grounds .
The illustration is a painting by Rick Berry, who is working on a painting that he and I and my girlfriend super kate have one night made in his studio ( he writes about it here, the pictures are of me ).
(And look: Here is the man Matthew Cheney talking about "Bitter Grounds" at the Mumpsimus .)
7) No, that's it. Only six things. There is no seventh. It's like a rainbow, where they have purple to indigo and then violet changed, only to make it more exciting.
